Meet Mae and come along on her marvelous, mindful day! From soaring into her wildly big imagination to filling up her senses when she’s outside to play, Mae is practicing many ways to stay present in each moment and enjoy her life to its fullest! While reading along, your child will learn mindfulness skills and grow with Mae while they take a regular day and make it great!
I wrote Mae’s Mindful Day for parents, caregivers, and children when my daughters were young because I wanted them to have a gentle tool for understanding their big feelings. As a mom, I saw firsthand how easily little hearts can become overwhelmed—and how powerful simple mindfulness practices can be in helping them feel grounded, confident, and safe.
This story grew out of the moments we shared: deep breaths before school, slow walks to notice the world around us, and bedtime chats about what made them feel happy, worried, or brave. My hope is that Mae’s Mindful Day gives your family those same calming moments and helps your children build lifelong emotional skills in a way that feels playful and encouraging.
